Reel to reel is back. In the home. In the studio.
And many say there is a warmth with tape like you get with no other audio format.
From a small seeding of a comeback just over 10 years ago, reel-to-reel tape recorders are now selling for treble what they sold for in 2020
But the good news is it's not too late to get into the format. Iain Betson of Reel Resilience brings his 30+ years of experience in the format to guide you through buying a reel-to-reel machine and keeping it running.
Reel Resilience is based near Derby, it offers service, repair, and support to owners of reel-to-reel tape recorders.
Events suite: Agreed I think I am stretching myself too thin. I will stick to the presentations in the room only. (BTW what room have I been allocated?)
Each day, Iain Betson will be giving live presentations of 30 minutes duration.

12:30 – A guide to pre-recorded music on tape: new releases, vintage releases, and the myth of the Master tape
14:30 – A guide to buying new tape: What’s available? Where from? How much?
We will also be playing pressing-master and direct-to-tape tracks from artists including Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. Buy new tape and accessories for your recorder too.
